Paying the claim in full

If you want to pay the claim in full, including the court fees and costs, you should send payments directly to the claimant at the address for service shown on the claim form.

If you enclose a letter with the payment it is a good idea to keep a copy and to ask for a receipt.

You must make sure that the claimant will receive your payment in full, no later than 14 days after you receive the claim.

If you do not, the claimant can request judgment in default against you.

If you pay in full within 14 days, you do not need to contact the court or complete any of the forms.
