Making a part admission

If you agree that you do owe some money, but less than is being claimed, this is called a part admission. You can make a part admission online.

By making a part admission online you can defend the disputed amount and either:

Before you submit the response, you will be required to complete a statement of truth

If you make a part admission, the court will send a copy to the claimant. The claimant will decide whether to accept your part admission.

If it is accepted the claimant may request the court to enter judgment against you and send you an order to pay

If it is not accepted the case will proceed as a defended case. The court will write to you explaining what happens next.

If it is defended you will not be able to take any further action online but you can view, print or save your response.
