Making a full admission - asking for time to pay
If you admit all of the claim and are asking for time to pay you should complete the paper admission form (N9A) received in the claim pack and send it to the claimant at the address for service on the claim form within 14 days from service. Do not send a copy to the court. You cannot submit an admission on-line using MCOL service. You must ensure that you tick the appropriate box on the form, complete all income and expenditure information and sign the statement of truth. If you admit the claim but fail to make an offer of repayment the claimant is entitled to enter judgment against you by default.
The claimant will decide whether to accept your proposal for payment. If it is accepted, the claimant may request the court to enter judgment against you, and you will be sent an order to pay. If your offer is not accepted the court will determine how you should pay and will enter judgment against you.
If you admit the claim but fail to make any offer of repayment the claimant is entitled to enter judgment against you by default.
