Jury summons and leaflet

The jury summons notice is the first communication that you will receive from the Jury Central Summoning Bureau telling you that you have been selected at random for jury service. This is a pink form which is accompanied with the Guide to Jury Summons booklet (PDF) which should help you fill in your summons.

You will also receive a language addendum, which ensures no juror is disadvantaged by information being given solely in English and Welsh. The language addendum explains why you have received a summons and what you should do next.  The addendum is available in seven languages and is aimed at people who cannot read English very well but those who can speak English so would be able to serve on a jury.

The summons must be completed and returned within 7 days from the day you receive it. This should be returned to the Jury Central Summoning Bureau in the addressed envelope that you would have received with the summons. It is important that you complete the form as accurately as possible.

If you have any questions or difficulties completing your reply to the jury summons, that either the booklet or this website does not answer, the Jury Central Summoning Bureau will be pleased to help you.
