Long trial information
You would normally be expected to sit for ten working days. In exceptional circumstances this period may be longer. If a trial is likely to last longer than ten working days, you will be told before you are sworn in, at which point you will be invited to disclose any exceptional circumstances which would not allow you to sit on a case of that length. The trial judge will then decide whether you should be available for selection for that trial. |
