There is a difference between the scale of operations for a major feature film and a educational schools programme. As a result, HMCS operates a sliding scale of charges for location filming.

As a general guide feature films could expect to pay around £3300 and TV dramas from £1500 per 12 hour day. Smaller projects can be negotiated depending on the requirements. In order to get a quote, contact the Film Unit on 020 3334 4078.

No charge is made for establishing shots of court exteriors from public highways unless the court needs to be opened e.g. for a character to enter or exit during filming.
