Prosecution Witness – why you are important

You are important to us because it is your evidence that means justice can be done. With your help, we can get to the truth and make sure that the right person is convicted. Your role is vital and without you cases can collapse.

Which court will I be attending?

You will receive a letter from the Witness Care Unit or the solicitor who has asked you to attend court, telling you the date and time of the trial and where it will be held.

You will be advised to attend either:

A Magistrates’ Court
A Youth Court
A Crown Court
