How can I get information and advice?

You can get advice and more information about adoption (and about possible alternatives to adoption, such as step-parental responsibility orders or special guardianship orders) from:

• your local authority;
• an approved adoption agency;
• a solicitor;
• a Citizens Advice Bureau;
• or a law centre or legal advice centre.
