The Her Majesty's Court Service website does not automatically capture or store personal information, other than logging the user's IP address and session information such as the duration of the visit and the type of browser used. This is recognised by the web server and is only used for system administration and to provide statistics which the Her Majesty's Court Service uses to evaluate use of the site.

The Prototype Criminal Records On-Line website does not include information in Welsh. It is the intention, in line with HMCS policy, to make information available in Welsh when the full website is operational.

This Prototype website is initially fed with entirely dummy data ' no representation of real people, living or dead, is meant or implied by this information. If you have any concerns about the dummy information provided please use the feedback form.

The fully functioning website would use real (or 'live') information which will be taken directly from the Court Register and any perceived errors or omissions would be taken up directly with the court where the case was heard. The court will be responsible for ensuring that any appropriate corrections are made.
