Children's Funds
Sometimes, as a result of a case, money is paid into court for the court to look after on behalf of minors. Where this happens, children are not able to withdraw their money until they have reached majority (when they are 18 years old). If the child, or Litigation Friend on behalf of the child (a person who the courts appoints to act on behalf of the child in courts, usually a parent or guardian), wants to be paid some money out of court for legitimate reasons (i.e. expenses relating to the child), the QB Masters need to give their approval

You can make a request by writing to the Assigned Master c/o The Children's Fund Clerk, Room E105, Royal Courts of Justice, Strand. London. WC2A 2LL. DX 44450 Strand. Telephone: 020 7947 6293 Fax: 020 7947 7339.
