Allocation Of Business To Specific Crown Courts

Serious Fraud Centres

This practice direction is made pursuant to the Directions of the Lord Chief Justice for the classification of the Business of the Crown Court and Allocation to Crown Court Centres dated 25 May 1995 (as amended). It consolidates all earlier Circuit Practice Directions governing the allocation of business from Petty Sessional Areas to specific Crown Court Centres on the Wales and Chester Circuit.

On committing a person for trial or sentence under the Magistrates' Court Act 1980, Justices shall commit to the Crown Court Centre designated in the attached appendix (as amended on 20 November 2000).
