Notice for Customers with Disabilities

We aim to accommodate all our visitors at this Court, and in turn, ensure that all Court Users have access to Justice and we shall ensure where possible that all reasonable adjustments are made under the Disability and Discrimination Act 1995. The Royal Courts of Justice is a Grade 1 listed building and many of the Courts are inaccessible for those with disabilities. Due to the constraints of a Listed Building we are restricted in the changes we can make. We do however do our best to ensure that those with disabilities receive the best possible service despite these restrictions.

  • When attending the Royal Courts of Justice you should enter via the West Green entrance and NOT the Main entrance. While we will endeavour to provide suitable access to the facilities customers should attend with a carer/helper to assist with personal needs.
  • On your arrival you will be met by a member of the Personal Support Team or Customer Service Team who will stay with you for as long as necessary.
  • You will be dealt with in the West Green building and a member of staff from the relevant Business Area will meet with you to issue your application, etc.
  • Should you require parking facilities with the RCJ complex please contact the Superintendent's Office on 020 7947 6506 giving at least one day's notice.

If you require further information on any of our services please contact a member of the Customer Service Team on 020 7947 7731
