SIR DUNCAN NICHOL, CBE
Sir Duncan Nichol began his career in the Health Service and was appointed Chief Executive of the NHS Management Executive for five years until 1994 and later became a Professorial Fellow at the Manchester Centre for Healthcare Management at the University of Manchester. He was awarded an Honorary Doctorate by Salford University.
A former Commissioner for Judicial Appointments and a former Non-Executive Director on the Home Office Corrections Services Strategy Board.
Sir Duncan is stepping down as Chairman of the Parole Board for England and Wales and also as Chairman of the Queen’s Counsel Selection Panel. He is a Non-Executive Director of the Christie Hospital in Manchester and of a number of private companies.
